Problems with the load size indicator or calibrating to zero
Problem Possible cause Remedy
The display indicates
a load of
<25% or no
load size is indicated
when the drum is
full.
There was laundry in
the drum when the
machine was
switched off. This has
decalibrated the
sensor from the zero
setting.
–
Remove the laundry from the
drum.
–
Switch off the washing
machine and leave the door
open.
–
Switch on the washing
machine.
–
Recalibrate the sensor to the
zero setting.
For instructions on how to do
this, see "Calibrating the load
sensor to zero".
The display indicates
a load greater than
<25%, even though
the drum is empty.
The load size sensor
has been
decalibrated from the
zero position.
Rotate the drum once. If it still
indicates a load greater than
<25%, recalibrate the sensor to
the zero setting (see above).
The fault message:
Zero setting not
possible. Open the
door
appears in the
display.
The drum door is
closed.
– Open the drum door.
– Switch off the washing
machine and leave the door
open.
–
Switch on the washing
machine.
–
Try to recalibrate to zero
again.
